Shangri-La Le Touessrok, Mauritius will re-open on October 19 after an extensive redesign that has enhanced every facet of the resort, from its 185 guest rooms and suites to its renowned restaurants and bars.
The 45-year-old luxury resort has been transformed into a tropical playground, where the spirit and essence of Mauritius is reflected in every detail.
Located along the pristine shores of the east coast, Shangri-La Le Touessrok embodies a fresh, contemporary style, combining the island’s rich cultural heritage and breathtaking natural beauty.
Each room tells a unique story that captures the island’s cultural heritage.
The guest experience is further enhanced by curated artisanal gifts, such as handcrafted batik scarves and Takamaka lychee wine.
Two brand new restaurants—TSK (Touessrok, Soul Kitchen) and Coco’s, were added along with enhancements to the three existing outlets-restaurants Kushi and Safran, and Sega Bar.
TSK (Touessrok Soul Kitchen) reflects the design of a Mauritian home with a lively kitchen, refined dining room, light-filled terrace and library. Featuring live cooking stations, TSK offers a fusion of local Mauritian flavours and international cuisine with theatrical flair.
Coco’s, a chic beach house, boasts panoramic views of Hibiscus Beach and lagoon, celebrates local flavours and fresh local seafood paired with a curated wine list.
“Our transformation has created an elegant tropical playground for both couples and families, blending the beauty of Mauritius with innovative design.
“From our newly reimagined sensory dining experiences to the artistic storytelling woven into every room, this redesign is a celebration of our guests’ desires for both adventure and relaxation in a place they can call their Shangri-La,” said Le Touessrok GM, Gregory Coquet.
